Cookout season is upon us. One of our favorite things about the summer is eating outside. On Sunday mornings in the summer Clare and I will often get up and fix a big breakfast and eat on the back patio. It's just a little thing, but very "abigslice".

Whenever we can we will fire up the grill, invite friends over and have a leisurely dinner en plein air. And they say that the grill is the domain of the man, but I would put Clare's baby back ribs up against anyone's, male or female! We have paired the ribs with a delicious Portuguese red wine called Terras de Paul Tinto. Since the wine is from Portugal, we gave our ribs some Portuguese flare, too!

That's just the beginning. We have an amazing dessert invented in Australia and named after a Russian Ballerina, Pavlova. It is as light as air and perfect for a summer sweet.
